In just one year, 15,780 children will be diagnosed with cancer in the US this year. That’s over 700 kids diagnosed with cancer every day. Despite improvements in cure rates the number of diagnosed cases annually has not declined in 20 years.
When a child is diagnosed with cancer their childhood days quickly change. However, life not only changes for the child but for the entire family. They provide “a home away from home for families with children receiving treatment at hospitals and medical facilities in Orlando.” They keep hope alive while also keeping families together.
